a rail gun can defeat a transformer as shown in the 2nd movie when they used one to take down devastator. I am pretty sure that they are other things that we could mention

I think it really depends on how big the Transformer is. I think a .454 Casull round right between the eyes of any Frenzy sized Decepticon should do the trick, in fact, that might be overkill. If you're talking about characters between the sizes of Barricade or Megatron, I think most crew served weapons would get their attention if not kill Barricade, and bombs and air to air missiles from a fighter would do a job on Megatron. I don't think it would kill Megatron though. In order to kill Megatron, you have to have "the touch".
